Of Life and Legos
One day there was a little girl named Sally and a little boy named Gerry. They met at Gerry's house to play.
"What do you want to play with," inquired Gerry.
"Legos," exclaimed Sally
Gerry went into his closet and returned with a gigantic box of legos. He then proceeded to open up the top of the box and dump all its contents onto the floor. Gerry and Sally both shouted at this action, as they started to piece together their exquisite creations.
"Hand me the wheels," asked Gerry, "I am going to build a fast car."
"Pass me the flowers," voiced Sally, "I am going to build an beautiful house with a garden."
They laughed together as they slowly and skillfully worked the pieces together to further their wonderful creations.
After a while John, Gerry's older brother bolted from his upstairs bedroom. He came rushing into Gerry's room with a diabolic purpose.
"Hey loser," commented John ," Watcha doin'" as he said this he looked down at his little brothers just-finished car and his little friends pathetic house. He then proceeded to hurl his brother's car across the room and watch it shatter into pieces on the far wall. Next he started to jump on top of Sally's house destroying everthing she had worked so hard to build. John laughed a deep laugh that came from the depths of his being and shook his entire body. He walked out of the room looking smug and thinking himself a little more better of a person.
Sally started to softly weep. "Why, why would he do something like that," cried Sally quietly in between her little gasps.
"I don't know," said Gerry as he picked up the shattered remains of his car.
However just then walked in Chris Gerry's other older brother. "Oh no what happened hear," lamented Chris seeing the very apparent sadness on the two children's faces.
"John just walked in here and destroyed my car, and Sally's house that took us so long to build," whispered Gerry.
"Well I know it has took you a long time to put together, but how about this why don't I help you put them back together," asked Chris. The children shouted in laughter at his question and readily accepted his offer. With Chris's help both children had put back their creations together.
Well here it is people, the moral of the story. Actually, pretty much the reason of the story. Everyone has dreams and goals and ideas and lives that they are slowly building. And usually it is not to easy. Sometimes people come in and destroy everything other people have trying all their lives live to accomplish. However sometimes some people come about and help further other peoples lives.
Today why not trying to build up someone, instead of tearing someone down. Be encouraging, not discouraging. Don't destroy someone, help someone. Be overly loving, not overly critical. Find the good in other people, and turn away from the bad.
Thanks and have a nice day.
